Design thinking

In class today for design thinking we did another plane. This weeks plane is way better than tast weeks because it flies and last weeks one didn't. Next time I can get rid of the straw in the middle and have a triangle in the middle.

Maths

In maths we did algebra. We had to make a pattern and work out a formula. Here is a formula to work it out and the patterns.

Seed2table Week 1

In seed to table we do planting and cooking. We get split up into 4 groups. Group 1 and 2 do the cooking till morning tea and group 3 and 4 go with Elly to do gardening. For cooking we made a soup and potato pie. For desert we had apple and feijoa crumble.

Math portfolio sample

In class we did some algebra and we had to do a timeline about how long it took them to break. James sent us a email and the banana skin and stuff like that. James also tought us about the broken timeline. It's were you draw a little squiggle and a strat line again. I worked with Camden and Alex.

Feedback/Feedforward: I kown I worked on that project too. Maybe next time tell us what is breaking Edward

Evaluation: I think I did good but next time I could have tidier writing.

Te Reo

In Te Reo we are learning our Maori fruits and stuff on the dinner table. We did a kahoot for learning our Maori fruits and stuff on the dinner table. Other people did games like you know what the English name is but you have to work out what the Maori name is. The kahoot is not working so here is a like to go to the song that we are learning and it's called aotearoa by Stan Walker. At the start of the lesson we do the song.

Evaluation: I think I did good but next time I could descibe the fruits and vegetables.

Sea Turtle

Description: In class we had to write a story about sea turtles. 1st we had to brainstom. I made a lifecycle that went egg then babies then growing up then adults. After that we did sentence starters, technical words and connectives. Then we wrote the story.
Story: The sea turtle is a threatened species. The female can lay up to 500 eggs. First the male digs a hole for the eggs to hide them from predators. Only 20% hatches and half of that gets the water with out predators eating them. 10 of them grow up to be teenagers and 5 grow up to be adults. And that is the lifecycle of a sea turtle.




Feedback/Feedforward: maybe next time you could add a photo of the the lifecycle that you made. I love that you said how you did the writing in steps and it was a great discription. Camden
Evaluation: I think I did good but next time instead of writing it again I could take a photo.

sports start

Description: we do this thing called sports start. Its where you play diffrent games. This game is called gate ways. Its where you set up lots of cones in pair and throw equitment through the gate 5 times then we move to another cone.

Evaluation: It was good but next time we could plan what cones we were going to.

Gutair

On a Monday morning after brunch I go to the music room and do gutair after 20 minutes Miko comes in for 10 minutes then I go and Miko does 20 minutes by him self. I am learning 7 years and pirates of the Caribbean.

Whether inquiry portfolio

We did some science about weather my class are doing weather Ellys class is doing the moon Troys class is doing seed  to table. Seed to table is were you do cooking and gardening. We did different experiments I did a tornado with Edward take a look at our awesome tornado in a bottle. The air spins and spins then it starts to terns up right.



Feedback/Feedforward I think that you should explane more about tornadoes like how much damage tornadoes can do. I liked the slow motion camera because it let you see what a tornado does. Abart from that the video was awesome. Camden 
Evaluation: It looks like a cool tornado next time I could use 2 clear bottles.

DPSE

Description: We did a cool day on Tuesday called Douglas Park sports exchange there was 5 sports hockey basketball soccer rugby and netball I chose soccer. My goal for Douglas park sports exchange was to be patient because it started at 9:30 am- 1:00 and we were last at 12:30. It was my first year doing it and for soccer my team won 7-1. We played 7 aside and we had 8 players and the subs were every 3 minutes.
Feedback/Feedforward:I like how you showed the work you did in your book. I think it is perfect. Alex

Evaluation: I think it was good day and it was hard to wait till our game because we were last.

Cross country goal

My goal is to come in the top 5 in school cross country. I chose this goal because because last year I came sixth.
